A special project
Artists are often called upon to create new work that commemorates an event of societal and/or historical significance. The artists in ART 498: Strategies for Artists were asked to do just that regarding the effects of COVID-19. The parameters for this new work were broad – students were asked to capture their feelings about our current lives and lifestyles during the pandemic, and were given the option to consider this situation from any perspective – global, national, local or personal.
